Thankful!

This is the only word that comes into my mind when it comes to express my feelings about the launching on a chapter of ZREVAS ART CLUB in Haiti. Yes! I am thankful to the Highest for this passion for art and culture and the full potential to create he has granted me with. I am thankful to life, when certain people cross your paths, and manage to change the narrative in the most positive way ever; when among all the sorrows brought and faced by this 21^st century we, the artists of the world are able to redesign lives and have people dream again; when between all options, when you look back you feel that you are exactly where you want to be and what you always want to be: a true heart, an artist! I cannot refrain myself from being thankful! It is also the right moment to acknowledge special contributions to Promart Haiti ; Haitian Embassy in Paris ; Magaly Pelissier; Pierre Louis Macdonald , Lauent de Matteis who all make this dream comes true.

However I know with this concrete step, the challenges are yet at the door. Haiti, my dearest country has been faced thought times, from political crisis to earthquake and other natural and social disasters. Nevertheless, despite the facts that most values, histories, even the culture itself tend to disappear with the old generation, we, the current generation have to join forces with the next generation to keep the Haitian culture alive. This is the mission that my colleagues and I, we endorse Today by creating this unique platform in Haiti. In a world torn by hate, crime, cupidity, lies, that make us becoming self-destructors, the We ZERVAS ART CLUB HAITI , wants to mobilize everyone around what is and will remain the common source of beauty, the only common point of agreement reuniting all parties, all actors: The beauty of arts. We ZERVAS ART CLUB HAITI aims at changing the narrative, recreating history to its best: “Without art, there is no history, without history, there is no culture.” Our African brothers and sisters say « Culture is the possibility to create, renew, and share values; it is the breath that increases humanity.”

Therefore, ZERVAS ART CLUB HAITIi is committed to hold high the torch by building new capacities and strengthening existing ones, focusing on the personal development of our artists while promoting the Haitian art nationwide and worldwide. I am bringing my 30^th years of experience and all my expertise and passion. But it will be a success without everyone’s contribution.

Given our art is carried within each of us, it shall not perished! We shall not perished!
