CRISTINA SANTANDER
Argentina | Artist-Professor
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The daughter of a famous jazz musician, she is brought up in a creative and cosmopolitan environment that leads her to feel her artistic vocation very early. At the age of 13, she entered the “Manuel Belgrano” National School of Fine Arts. She completes her studies at the “Prilidiano Pueyrredón” National School of Fine Arts and the “Ernesto de la Cárcova” High School. There she studies with Aída Carballo. Ideal Sánchez and Fernando López Anaya were also her teachers. She was a professor of Drawing and Engraving at the Faculty of Fine Arts “Prilidiano Pueyrredón” and holder of the Chair of Painting at the School of Fine Arts “Ernesto de la Cárcova”. She has exhibited in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Korea, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, USA, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay, Venezuela.
