AHMED SENBEL

Ahmed Senbel was born in Alexandria in 1976. He is a lecturer at the painting department at the faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University. His artworks focus on the human being and his relation with his surroundings, through paintings that raise questions about identity, integration, and acceptance of the elements of modern life. in 2019, Senbel participated in several group exhibitions including the exhibition Move at shelter art space in collaboration with IOM, he also had a solo exhibition (portrait of the river)held in the faculty of fine arts’ hall. in 2018, Senbel commissioned the 13th youth salon in l’Atelier d’Alexandrie and participated in many group exhibitions in Cairo and Alexandria. He participated in the Rosetta symposium organized by the museum of fine arts in 2017. He was awarded the grant of Siwa studios presented by the ministry of culture in 2016. Senbel had his work exhibited in the Minnesota Centre biennale of book art and other art events in Greece, Tunisia and the united states.
